Waldhausen Beris Kombi Comfort Bit

We love this bit because while being gentle in the horse’s mouth, the combination of nose pressure makes it effective for stronger horses.

This anatomically correct bit rests evenly and lightly on tongue and bars, and provides more room and freedom of movement for the tongue. When the reins are applied, even pressure occurs on the bars and tongue. No lateral squeezing of tongue and bars occurs. Bit guards prevent pinching of the lips.

Thanks to its domed shape, the comfort bar sits particularly quietly in the horse’s mouth. Mouthpieces with a slightly domed bar are considered to be especially gentle and kind on the mouth. This property combined with our Beris plastic enables horse and rider to enjoy an even softer and more comfortable communication.

The comfort bar is particularly suited to young and sensitive horses. This bit ensures optimum distribution of pressure on lower jaw and mouth, and is accepted very well by the horse. The second rein acts like a chin strap, which can be taken up and loosened as required. This bit is great for particularly strong and forward-going horses.
