Trust Sweet Iron Pony 3 Ring Jointed

The Trust Sweet Iron Jointed Three Ring is designed to provide extra control for children when riding strong ponies. This single-jointed bit is ergonomically designed to be a comfortable fit in pony mouths. The mouthpiece is 12mm in diameter and the cheekpiece measures 11cm in total.

The sweet iron is designed to rust when it comes into contact with humidity; this surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse’s saliva production, encouraging soft acceptance of the bit. This oxidization process changes the blue color of the Trust bit to a brownish-grey. If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
