We love this bit because it is great for training and in the jumper ring with heavier horses and you need both more leverage and a little help with turning. 

The french link mouthpiece is a double-jointed mouthpiece with a flat insert that exerts equal pressure on the tongue. This mouthpiece has two pivot points, is shaped more to the mouth, and is a bit looser in the mouth.

The gag snaffle encourages the horse to raise its head. It is often used on horses that run behind the bit. When taking the reins, the mouthpiece slides up and the horse gets pressure in the corners of the mouth and at the back of the neck. The bit can be used with one or two reins or with rein converters. In most cases, the bit is used with two reins, one rein is normally attached to the bit and the other rein to one of the lower rings or the end of the retrieval straps. This way, the rider can only use the retrieval action when it is really necessary. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders. 

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and stimulates the horse’s saliva production naturally. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-gray.
